I don't know when things changed.  When the words 'I love you' went from meaning 'I love you as a friend' to simply meaning 'I love you'.  I didn't fall in love with you it was too gentle and simple, just another step.  It was natural and easy, like breathing.  Such a subtle change it seemed hardly a change at all.  There too is the irony, I've said those words too often and they've lost all meaning. Now whenever I say 'I love you' you just smile and say you know.  You don't though; I want you to be more than a best friend who is like a brother than me.  You don't realise the hurt those smiles cause when you dismiss my words.  You don't see t
